Services NOT Offered >
As a Colorado Notary Public, there are certain services we are not legally allowed to offer:
We do not provide legal advice or prepare legal documents. Notaries are not attorneys and cannot explain, draft, or interpret documents. Please consult a lawyer if you need legal assistance.
We cannot help with immigration forms or provide “notario” services. This includes giving advice, filling out immigration paperwork, or representing you in any immigration matters.
We cannot notarize or certify copies of vital records. This includes birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, and divorce decrees. Only the government office that issued the original can provide certified copies.
We do not issue apostilles or authentication certificates. Apostilles must be obtained from the Colorado Secretary of State.
We do not offer full loan signing services at this time. Mortgage and loan documents require a certified Loan Signing Agent, which is a separate service.
We cannot notarize wills or trusts that require an attorney’s oversight. Some legal documents are too complex or risky to notarize without legal guidance.
We cannot notarize I-9 Employment Verification forms. We may complete them only as an authorized representative—not as a notary—if allowed by your employer.
If you’re unsure whether your document can be notarized, feel free to ask! Email Thedenvernotarypublic@gmail.com
